One week after he was granted bail, Naira Marley is still languishing in jail.
His bail conditions stipulated by Federal High Court on May 30 include: N2,000,000 bond, and two sureties, one with a landed property and the other, a civil servant, not lower than a level 10 officer.
The N2,000,000 bail bond may not be the problem since he is not required to pay the chunk, but just 10 per cent of N2,000,000 which is N200,000.
According to a mail from one of the readers of www.e-nigeriang.com, the sureties are afraid of mortgaging their lives, career and business, if Naira Marley jumps bail.
He said: “Their fear is real. No civil servant wants to put his career on the line for Naira Marley.
“Who wants to put life, business and career on the line for a criminal Yahoo Boy?
“When his situation gets more awry, he may flee to another country, like England, if he is not wanted for crimes over there. He is even a British citizen. (E-Nigeria)
