TERROR ATTACK: AN UNGODLY ATTEMPT BY OUR COMMON ENEMIES TO DESTABILIZE THE PRESENT GOVERNMENT
APC PROGRESSIVE CONSULTATIVE FORUM has condemned in strong term the recent series of terror attacks and killings across the country which included the killing of Brigadier Gen. M. Uba whom was ambushed and killed by bandits, the kidnapping of six passengers in Benue state, the killing of one person and abduction of Catholic priest in Kaduna state and the abduction of 25 school girls in Kebbi State.
In a statement made by the National Chairman of the group, Barrister Buba Godobe at a press briefing in Abuja, the chairman described the incidents as unpatriotic and plans by our common enemies and enemies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government to cause mayhem and instability in the northern region of Nigeria.
In the statement, Barrister Adobe charged the military to sit up and look for ways to block and clampdown on the terrorist terrorising the people of Northern part of Nigeria. The chairman of the group also called on all well meaning citizens of Nigeria to continue to mobilise support for our president and the Renewed Hope administration.
The national secretary of the group, Engr. Dan Ohiomoba in his closing remarks called on Mr. President to remain focus and continue is good works to actualise the vision of his Renewed Hope Agenda while describing all those involved in this evil act as distractors and enemies of Nigeria.
The secretary further added that there is nothing like “Christian Genocide” in Nigeria but as being championed by some people but a pure case of terrorism which is affecting both Muslims and Christians. He recalled a number of cases where Muslims have been attacked in their mosques during prayers.
The group also called for better collaboration between both religion faithfuls to see the ongoing onslaught as a national security threat rather than from religious angle.
