An American man has changed his name to Literally Anybody Else and is gearing up to contest for president against President Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Formerly known as Dustin Elsey, the 35-year-old Texas man now has his driver’s license bearing his new legal name and has launched a bid for the presidency.

The army veteran and seventh-grade math teacher said he changed his name because he was not satisfied with the two leading candidates in the 2024 presidential election.

“I really want there to be an outlet for folks like me who are just so fed up with this constant power grab between two parties that has no benefit for the common person,” he told WFAA.

“We can do better out of 300 million people for president.”

His students still call him by his new legal name because he wants to keep politics out of the classroom, he said.

Else insisted he was not delusional and that his presidential bid was not about him but more about sending a message to the dominant political parties in the United States.

“People are voting for the lesser of two evils, not someone they actually believe in or support,” Else said. “People should have the option to vote for someone who resembles and represents them, not the lesser of two evils. I reject that.”

He considers himself a centrist and said that his political beliefs benefit from both left and right ideologies.

To achieve his dream, Literally Anybody Else has launched a website through which he is seeking donations to oil the wheels of the campaign machine.

“Our vision is rooted in policies that prioritize your well-being, ensuring that every community can flourish,” he said on the website. “From breaking the cycle of recidivism to investing in infrastructure that connects us, we’re committed to rebuilding with care and advancing with courage.
