The family of late Iyalode of Yorubaland, Mrs Alaba Lawson has released programme for her funeral with her burial scheduled for 8 December, 2020 in Abeokuta.
The family announced the burial announcement after a meeting on Sunday at the Ogun State capital, Mr Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, the media aide of the deceased said in a statement.
He added that that a committee was also set up to fine tune programme of events for the burial of Lawson, a renowned educationist and entrepreneur, died on Oct. 28 at her residence in Abeokuta.
Kayode-Adedeji said the Central Planning Committee of the burial is headed by Sanya Abiola.
โWhile other members include Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji (Head Media), Tayo Akintayo, Sesan Bankole and Akin Jiboku .
โThe family meeting, chaired by Ebenezer Obe-Fabiyi, added that other members of the Central Planning Committee include Akinola Lawson, Babalola Lawson, Oreoluwa Obey-Fabiyi and Taiwo Jiboku.
โThe burial programme as concluded at the meeting stated that Dec. 1 to Dec. 6 has been designated for various groups, associations and professional bodies to celebrate the deceased.
โService of song will hold on Dec. 7 at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta,โhe said .
Kayode-Adedeji said that the final burial would take place at St James African Church, Idi-Ape, Abeokuta, which will be followed with interment strictly for the family members of the deceased. (NAN)
