Nigeria’s ancient city of Kano stood still for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Wednesday as his campaign train hits the city by storm.
The roads from the Kano State House to the Sani Abacha Stadium, venue of the grand rally were shut. Thousands trooped to the streets in support of the presidential ambition of Tinubu.
The APC’s presidential candidate and his running, Kashim Shettima, Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, and others were seen in a raised campaign truck trying to move from the State House to the Stadium.
Tinubu and others waved to the tumultuous crowd as his name was being chanted. There were singers and drummers everywhere.
It was a grand entry into the ancient city for the APC’s presidential candidate, showing that Kano, in deed, is in the kitty of the ruling party.

The Sani Abacha Stadium was filled to capacity. Thousands who could not get seat at the stadium stood. The crowd of supporters seemed to be of one mind, which is to garner support for the APC’s presidential candidate.
