The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi, has promised to deliver 90,000 votes to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in the July 16 election.

Oluwo, who organised an inter-religious prayer session for Oyetola’s victory, said his mission is to see an Iwo indigene become governor after Oyetola’s tenure.

He said: “I have a dream and a mission, and my dream is for Iwo to produce the governor come 2026. This governor has done his own; I want to use this as a prayer point for Iwo to produce the next governor in 2026.

“I will deliver my block votes for Oyetola. I’m declaring for him, and I’m also calling on the people of Iwo to give their block votes to Oyetola. We must give at least 90 thousand votes to Oyetola. We are registering more but, right now, we have over 90 thousand votes and I want all of them to go to Oyetola…”

Mrs. Lateefat Giwa, who represented Oyetola, said the monarch’s gesture will go a long way in giving the party victory.
