Police intensifies search for officer who killed 20 year-old Adaobi Ifeanyi

The Police Force has dismissed and intensified effort to apprehend one out of the five policemen detained in connection with the death of Adaobi Ifeanyi. In a document released to www.e-nigeriang.com The Police hinted that Inspector Daniel Ojo was found guilty of unlawfully shooting 20 year-old Adaobi and has been dismissed automatically from the Force.
Daniel Ojo who is still at large, took to his heels when his teammates were arrested and according to the Police, he will now face prosecution upon his arrest.
You will recall that Adaobi Ifeanyi was reportedly returning from a night club in her boyfriend’s car when the police team flagged them down on April 13 in Ajegunle area of Lagos.
Unfortunately, the boyfriend, Emmanuel Akomafuwa, did not stop.
The police team pursued, fired into the car and Akomafuwa was hit in the head.
When they finally stopped, as Ada protested the shooting of her boyfriend, Insp. Ojo shot her at a close range and she died immediately.
But before his arrest by the police, the culpable inspector escaped and has been declared wanted ever since.
The Police commissioner said upon his arrest, he would be charged to court.
