Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his six-goal draught as he scored in Manchester United’s 2-0 win against Brighton on Tuesday.

Manchester United are coming into the game at Old Trafford after back to back draw in their last two games and needed to win reduce the pressure.

After a goalless first half, Ronaldo opened scoring on 51 minutes.

Ronaldo wove his way past opponents, and unleashed a magnificent effort from the edge of the box inside the right post. Robert Sanchez had no chance of reaching it.

Ronaldo would have made it 2-0 for United on 66 minutes, but the goal keeper had a great save.

The football superstar jumped high to meet a cross and glanced a promising header from close range towards the roof of the net, but the goalkeeper pulled off a brilliant save to keep it out.

On 75 minutes, Bruno Fernandes swung the ball into the box, and Ronaldo got in front of his man and powered his header just wide of the left post.

Brighton almost equalised on 78 minutes as Jakub Moder picked up a precise pass and produced a bullet of a strike from distance that smashed against the crossbar.

Bruno Fernandes go the second goal for United on added time, as he received the ball after a swift counter attack. Still with some work to do, he wove his way through the defence to score a wonderful goal from close range.
