US boy, 5, brings cocaine to school saying it makes him 'feel like Spider Man' %Post Title
A US father is facing a raft of charges after his five-year-old son took cocaine to school and told a teacher they turned him into a superhero.

Police say the young boy took a small bag of a powdery substance to H B Lawrence Elementary School in Massachusetts.

The police received a report that an item containing a powdery substance had been brought to the US school, the Daily Hampshire Gazette reported.

The bag had a picture of Spider Man stamped onto it, and the boy allegedly told a kindergarten teacher that when he eats or tastes the powder, he turns into the superhero.

The boy’s father, Benny Garcia, 29, was arrested by police after being found sleeping in a Holyoke apartment with bags of white powder strewn around him.

According to the newspaper, police found more than 200 bags of heroin and cocaine, including bags of heroin that had Spider Man stamps on them.

In court, Garcia pleaded not guilty to drug possession and distribution charges and a charge of reckless endangerment of a child, the newspaper reported.

A policeman told the newspaper that the young boy just “loves Spider Man”. “Our officers were quite taken by it all. You don’t often deal with this.”

Police also told the newspaper that the bag of drugs the boy had in his possession was sealed, and only knew he had put the bag in his mouth, but may not have ingested the contents.

The boy was taken to hospital but was unharmed.  (STUFF)
