Latest development on the Jussie Smollett case appears to insinuate that the Empire actor staged the attack he claimed to have suffered in the hands of two men.

According to the actor, the men hung a rope round his neck and chanted homophobic slur as they screamed “this is MAGA country”.

Two Nigerian men are currently getting interrogated after being taken for the two persons of interest in the surveillance photo released by the police.

Information about the interrogation are beginning to leak with Rob Elgas of ABC 7 giving snippets of it on Twitter.

According to the information Rob Elgas shared, one of the two men getting questioned by the police has appeared on the Empire series movie before alongside Jussie Smollet.

This new development leads to speculations that Jussie Smollet may have staged the attack.

Smollett is also being questioned by police. Chicago police have no new comment. No one has been charged.
